Position Listing |
| Below is a listing of the various positions that are open to anyone joining the AW Guides. Prior skill is not required. New Guides are trained in the specific skill(s) they choose to perform.
Greeter is a new Guide who has not yet been fully trained in any of the remaining listed positions. A Greeter has Public Speaker (PS) privileges only in Tours. Tour Designer is a Guide who does not deal directly with the public but works behind the scenes in a support role to develop and design tours for the Tour Guides. A Tour Designer does not have PS privileges. Tour Guides do exactly what the title implies; they escort people to various locations in AW and explain the sights seen on these tours. A Tour Guide has Public Speaker privileges in Tours, the 5 AW worlds and in some private worlds when authorized by the world owner. Browser Guide is a Guide who answers general questions about AW, provides information about AW and teaches the use of the AW browser. A Brower Guide has PS in Tours and the 5 AW worlds. Building Guides provides new citizens and tourist with one-on-one assistance for a variety of building tasks including locating a building instructor, locating property to build on and basic building techniques. Building Guides have PS in Tours and the 5 AW worlds. Bingo Host is a Guide who operates the tourist bingo games in the Guide's bingo world of BingoTrs (short for Bingo Tours). Bingo Hosts have PS in the Guide's bingo world of BingoTrs. Disk Jockey (DJ) is exactly what the title implies; they play music, entertain and make announcements on internet radio stations, in the world of Tours, for parties and other special events held in AW. A DJ has PS in Tours and as needed in other locations. If you have questions or need additional information about any of the positions please email us.
